I’m sad to say that I have decided to take down the Ro-Z Revolution Kickstarter early. Now, there are many reasons as to why this was done, some of which I’m only realizing now.

This idea is still very early in development. As the campaign kept going I kept noticing just how rudimentary and bare-bones this concept truly was. I thought it would be able to stand up on its own, but it just can’t. My suspicions were confirmed when receiving feedback on the Kickstarter from multiple sources.

However, the main reason for its early termination lies on me. As head of this project, I should have given this campaign better preparation and planning, as well as had a lot more content available at launch date. While some of that could be attributed to a very low budget for the creation of gameplay and concept art, most of it should be attributed to my close-mindedness and naivete. It is my fault entirely that this first attempt at funding the project failed.

Now, this doesn't mean that this game will never see the light of day. I plan to work on it behind the scenes and I will be silently planning out how I will go about on my second attempt at funding this game in the future.

To be honest, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Now that I don't need to worry about updates and having to make due with the stuff I already have, I now have more time to plan ahead and organize the marketing and maintenance of the next future crowdfunding attempt. And honestly, with this extra time, I'll be able to make the game MUCH BETTER than how I originally proposed it.

While this is happening, I'll also be working on some personal projects I've been dying to do for years. So expect a lot of new content from me soon!

You learn more from mistakes. When I first tired to put a picture book up on iTunes I did everything wrong. Now you know for next time. Best of luck.
